Born as Jose Protacio Rizal Mercado y Alonso Realonda, but popularly known as Jose Rizal is celebrating his 150th birth anniversary. He was born at Calamba, Laguna on June 19,1861 and died at Bagumbayan (now Rizal Park) on December 30, 1896 at the age of 35.
His parents are Francisco Engracio Rizal Mercado y Alejandro and Teodora Morales Alonso Realonda y Quintos.
